2025 January LovableLakelands Launch
We launched the group officially in January 2025 committing to being part of the active citizenship movement in Lakelands. The group was formed as a 'Town Team' which is a construct from the Town Team Movement, with amazing support from Creating Communities and Peet to further advance the inclusive, fun and community focused group of Lakelands!

Our first steps
We welcomed some new faces, added a range of new ideas to the mix and after an energetic discussion and chat about what we wanted the group to be, we decided on the group name "LovableLakelands" and determined some basic understanding of what it means, what we represent and what our 'social and media engagement presence would look like. We agreed to setup Facebook and Instagram as a start and to design some graphics and logos (with the great support from Creating Communities
Our first event
Our first event - a Clean Up Australia Day which is organsied and setup by one of our amazing founding members. This has become the first official event of the LovableLakelands group and is to be held in February
