2024 October Lakelands Town Team Beginnings
LovableLakelands (as it is now formally known) began in a creative explosion of people, ideas and willingness to build a connected community in Lakelands. We informally got together in October 2025 as a group of local community advocates that wanted to support and promote Lakelands as the wonderful community that we all live in, share and cherish.
The Lakelands Town Team Group were originally brought together by some amazing people from the Heartbeat group, Creating Communities, Peet and local community development officers in the City of Mandurah, to gauge interest and understanding of what People and Place means to those in Lakelands!
Absolutely everyone at the original launch thought the concept was amazing, the intent of the group to be locals from the area, creating a sense of connection and community and becoming active citizens in support of our local community .... and it all began from there!
