Tiny Heart - Malata Ridge Park
Perched along the scenic Malata Ridge, this local park is a beautiful blend of open green space and natural bushland, offering families a place to slow down, explore, and connect with the outdoors. With a playground for little ones to enjoy and plenty of room to run and play, it’s a welcoming spot for all ages. Wander a little further and you’ll find a peaceful nature trail winding through conserved bushland, inviting visitors to experience a landscape that reflects what this area looked like long before European settlement.
Along the trail, there are gentle reminders of the rich history and ecology of the area. A magnificent Tuart tree, estimated to be around 150–200 years old, stands proudly as a home to local wildlife—including birds, possums, and even a busy native bee hive. Interpretive signs share how these plants were once used by Aboriginal people for food and medicine, adding a deeper layer of meaning to your visit. You’ll also spot a section of old fencing and a gate, a quiet nod to the land’s farming past. Whether you’re following the path, enjoying the playground, or taking part in your Tiny Hearts adventure, this special spot encourages care, curiosity, and respect for the natural world.
